A Flower for a Minimalist

Agapanthus (Lily of the Nile): About to bloom!

At My Ranchburger, we love Agapanthus for their lack of fussiness. They go so beautifully in a minimalist setting, as they are pure simplicity and offer a change from the omnipresent white Phalaenopsis.  When these flowers are in full bloom, we will bring them indoors.

  1. Annie - I love them as well. We have a group of them in the front garden and I'm always amazed at how from a small bud atop of a long stem emerges this huge flower! I've always been afraid to cut them and bring them indoors for fear they would die immediately - but then they die anyway outside don't they. I shall have to snip away!

  2. They are beautiful ... and what a great shot. Isn't it amazing how much detail there is in a single flower.

    Thank you for sharing!
